Simple Conversation and Greetings

When we are learning the basics of English, we can start with some simple conversation and greetings. In this video I will run through an interaction with George and Dinosaur which your child will easily relate to.

Why is the conversation so relatable? It’s because dinosaur steals George’s ball and he lands up in tears which is something that young children often experience. Initially when Dinosaur asks how he is George can say “I am happy,” but without the ball “I am sad.” They also say “Hello”, “What’s your name?” and “Goodbye” which are common greetings.

Here are the greetings that you can practice with your child:

Hello!

What’s your name? My name is ………..

Let’s play!

How are you? I am sad. I am happy.

I’m sorry.

Goodbye!
