Learn to Count 1-20 in English!

Today I’m sharing with you a video counting in English from one to twenty. This is another basic skill that needs to be in place.

As an ESL teacher one of the common errors I’ve found in counting is mixing up the “teens” with the “ty” .

Practice:

12 twelve 20 twenty

13 thirteen 30 thirty

14 fourteen 40 forty

15 fifteen 50 fifty

16 sixteen 60 sixty

17 seventeen 70 seventy

18 eighteen 80 eighty

19 nineteen 90 ninety

Here are the words for counting one to twenty: One (1), two (2), three (3), four (4), five (5), six (6), seven (7), eight (8), nine (9), ten (10), eleven (11), twelve (12), thirteen (13), fourteen (14), fifteen (15), sixteen (16), seventeen (17), eighteen (18), nineteen (19), twenty (20).

Another cool thing for you to do with your child is count objects around the house. Get a few pencils or beads and get them to count one for one. Ask “How many?”
