Prepositions: Where is the cat?
Prepositions are something very commonly used in every day life so it’s a useful concept to know.
This post will consist of a video and a worksheet to demonstrate these concepts.
This is the sentence pattern: The cat is —- the box. Or for the worksheet: The dog is — the box. The cat is on the box. The cat is in the box. The cat is under the box. The cat is next to the box. The cat is behind the box. The cat is in front of the box. The cat is above the box.

However, when we get to “between” we have to say what the object (or in this case, animal) is between. So we can say: The dog is between the boxes. The cat is between the pig and the dog.
